To mark the end of the twenty-first week of the tenth season of the Championship, the Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the week in four categories.
– Best goaltender, for the second time this season, was Ryan Zapolski (Jokerit), who played in two games, both victories, keeping the opponents off the scoreboard in one and allowing a solitary goal in the other. The 31-year-old American, who was also October's goalie of the month, recorded a save percentage of 97.87;
– Best defenseman was Mikhail Pashnin (CSKA), who helped the Army Men win both their games this week, contributing 2 assists, 3 hits, and 4 blocks. The 28-year-old Russian finished both games with a positive rating - the best showing of all the D-men in the League;
– Best forward was Ruslan Karlin (Severstal), who also emerged victorious in two out of two matches (against Salavat Yulaev and Ak Bars), scoring the game-winning goal in both encounters. The 25-year-old Russian attacker ended the week with 3 goals and a +2.
–– Best rookie was 20-year-old Neftekhimik forward Rafael Bikmullin, who enjoyed two outings, both on the road, for which his account showed 2 (1+1) points, 8 hits, an average ice time of 14 minutes 10 seconds, and a positive rating in both games, giving him a +2 for the week. His goal, against Torpedo, was the first of his KHL career.
